Guy Larsen is a writer and multimedia director - working across live action, stop motion animation and narrative podcasts. He is a member of BAFTA Connect.
He is the co-creator of ‘Up In Smoke’, a supernatural thriller podcast series starring Adam Buxton, Olivier Award nominee Mei Mac, Allan Corduner and BAFTA nominee Tracy Wiles. Its success saw it hit #1 on both the Apple and Spotify podcast charts. It was featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Observer.
Guy is also an Executive Director of ‘Marion’ alongside Sienna Miller and Cate Blanchett, written and directed by BAFTA-nominated Joe Weiland and Finn Constantine. It screened at both Venice and TIFF.
He is the director and animator of the stop motion film ‘Root Note’ starring BAFTA winner Wunmi Mosaku (‘Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them’, ‘The End of The F***ing World’ ‘Passenger’). It screened at the Oscar/BAFTA-qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival, Manchester Animation Festival and Norwich Film Festival, winning ‘Best Short Animated Film’ at the BIFA-qualifying North East International Film Festival.
Guy’s digital video background has seen him collaborate with Instagram, Samsung, LEGO, London Pride, Airwallex and Sony. He’s directed music videos for artists including dodie, Orla Gartland and Cavetown. His stop motion animated video for Cavetown’s ‘Green’ landed a trophy at the Berlin Music Video Awards, screened at Encounters Film Festival and was honoured at the Lovie and Webby Awards. He has shot and edited videos with the popular YouTube channel Vsauce, been the Creative Director of social-first agency Perspective Pictures, and founded Penny4 - an award-winning production studio focused on video content for creators and brands online.
